Made with mozzarella cheese and Italian herb mix, this is an Italian twist on meatloaf! Enjoy!

Serves: 6 

  • 750g beef mince
  • 2 eggs, whisked
  • 3/4 cup (90g) dry bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup (30ml) tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian herb mix
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 (410g) tin diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 1/2 cups (185g) grated mozzarella cheese

Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:1hour  ›  Ready in:1hour15min 

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
  2. In a large bowl mix together mince, eggs, bread crumbs and tomato sauce. Season with Italian herb mix, oregano, basil, garlic powder, diced tomatoes and cheese. Press into a 24 x 12cm loaf tin and cover loosely with foil.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven approximately 1 hour or until cooked.
