My brother-in-law can't have any eggs, so every time we have a family gathering he can't eat the dessert because of the eggs. I made up this recipe and was SHOCKED that it came out good! Now everyone in my family LOVES THEM! I hope you do too!

Makes: 24 biscuits

  • 2 cups (250g) flour
  • 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 170g butter, softened
  • 1 cup (220g) sugar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1/4 cup (30g) cocoa powder
  • 1/3 cup (60g) peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup (125ml) milk

Preparation:20min  ›  Cook:11min  ›  Ready in:31min

  1. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees C. Sift together flour, bicarb soda, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
  2. Cream together butter, sugar and brown sugar in a large bowl. Mix in vanilla essence and cocoa powder, then add peanut butter and stir until smooth. Gradually mix in the sifted ingredients until well blended. Pour milk into dough and stir until fully combined.
  3. Drop dough in heaped teaspoons onto ungreased baking trays. Bake in the preheated oven until edges are lightly browned, 11 to 13 minutes. For a crunchier biscuit, bake for an extra minute or two.
