It's not overly sweet so you only have half the guilt . I used half brown sugar and half white, added dates, walnuts and cinnamon. I think next time I'll omit the oats and use all brown sugar and more dates for my 1 year old. Will try again! - 19 Jun 2017

I substituted unsweetened applesauce for the oil, two egg whites for the egg, and 1/4 cup brown sugar + 1/4 cup Splenda for the white sugar. They were DELICIOUS and so moist! I've been trying to adapt a muffin recipe for awhile now and this is the first time I've tasted success.
