    Corned beef cooked the way my mum use to make it.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 6 

    • 1 kg corned beef
    • 3/4 cup brown vinegar
    • 11 cloves
    • 1/2 cup brown sugar (packed firmly)
    • water to cover

    Directions
    Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:1hour  ›  Ready in:1hour5min 

    1. In a large pot mix the brown vinegar, cloves and brown sugar, simmer to dissolve brown sugar.
    2. Once it is boiling, place the corned beef in the pot and cook on all sided for approximately 4 minutes.
    3. When all sides have been coloured fill with water, bring to boil and simmer for 1 hour.

    Tip

    Allow 1 hour per kilogram.
