Corned beef cooked the way my mum use to make it.
1 kg corned beef
3/4 cup brown vinegar
1/2 cup brown sugar (packed firmly)
water to cover
- In a large pot mix the brown vinegar, cloves and brown sugar, simmer to dissolve brown sugar.
- Once it is boiling, place the corned beef in the pot and cook on all sided for approximately 4 minutes.
- When all sides have been coloured fill with water, bring to boil and simmer for 1 hour.
Allow 1 hour per kilogram.
For An 80yr. new to slowcookers simple is better?
