This is a great slice. Very tasty and easy and can be adapted to almost any other ingredients instead of the dates. I cut mine while still quite warm so that it doesn't crumble. Just delicious. - 16 Aug 2010

Tasted very good, but I found that the butter and molasses (subst. for golden syrup) just weren't enough moisture to bind the dry ingredients together at all. I added a beaten egg and it turned out very nicely. - 26 Apr 2003 (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)
