This recipe is the result of various experiments to produce the best winter warming stew. Allow for overnight marinating of the meat.
I used a well known Sth Australian Dark Ale to marinade and wholemeal flour to dredge it in before frying and added 2 tsp of mixed herbs for the last hour.Also added some German dumplings.Very tasty! - 29 Nov 2013

Used different ingredients. I used a small marinated blade roast (prepacked crivac)cut into small cubes this worked a treat and the meat was as tender as anything i have eaten, still marinated in beer as per recipe , just adds to the flavour base (GREAT) - 31 Jan 2011
