Quick, simple and really tasty! Only uses 3 ingredients, but has an excellent result. Unlike most recipes, bananas don't need to be ripe.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 2

    • 1 tablespoon honey
    • 2 bananas
    • 4 teaspoons cinnamon
    • (icecream or cream, to serve)

    Directions
    Preparation:1min  ›  Cook:4min  ›  Ready in:5min

    1. Heat a medium saucepan at medium heat and grease with the honey.
    2. Slice bananas down the centre and place 2 halves in the pan.
    3. Sprinkle the top side on the bananas in the pan with a teaspoon of cinnamon on each. Leave for about a minute.
    4. Flip bananas and sprinkle the top side with cinnamon (you should have 2 teaspoons left).
    5. After another minute, take out and serve while warm. Place the other halves in the pan and repeat.
    6. Yummy-serve with the leftover honey in the pan, a sprinkle of cinnamon and generous amounts of cream/icecream.

Used different ingredients. Added brown sugar on top to make the caramel thicker. - 26 Apr 2010

Needed more honey to caramelise. Perhaps use golden syrup instead? Too much cinnamon. However cinnamon on ice-cream and caramelised honey was delicious (as a variant). - 30 Jan 2016
