Quick and easy chickpea patties, a good alternative to meat.

Serves: 4 

  • 800g of chickpeas, drained and rinsed (two cans)
  • 1 Tbsp tahini
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 cup of parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • salt and pepper
  • squeeze of lemon juice

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:25min 

  1. Combine all ingredients in a food processor and pulse until smooth.
  2. Shape into patties (for use in burgers) or tablespoon-sized balls (for finger food or to eat with salad/vegies) and shallow fry in hot oil until brown on each side.
  3. Drain on paper towel and serve.
