Such humble ingredients for such big flavor! Pared down the fat content in the dressing using low fat mayo and 2% milk and added onion powder for an extra boost! Left out the salt as the bacon provided enough without adding extra.... This is a great salad to use up cherry tomatoes that seem to flourish profusely in the summer garden. Only addition was an avocado which was the perfect finishing touch!  -  11 Jan 2011  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)

I didn't use a whole pound of bacon, just half of the package that was left after I made meatloaf. I used a mixture of fat free sour cream and lowfat mayonnaise and a spring green mix. We all enjoyed this a lot, especially my oldest who has a real thing for bacon. He takes after his mother. Next time, I think I'd just use a homemade ranch dressing.  -  03 Nov 2010  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)
