Quick and easy recipe goes well with a tossed salad. Recipe makes four pastries. Pre-heat oven

Serves: 4 

  • 2 sheets frozen puff pastry
  • 8 slices ham
  • 8 Swiss cheese slices
  • French Mustard to spread on the patries
  • 1 egg beaten

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:25min 

  1. Thaw both sheets of puff pastry, once thawed cut each sheet in half.
  2. Spread each half of the pastry with the French Mustard, leave the edges of the pastry clear.
  3. On one half of each pastry slice layer ham, then swiss cheese, ham, cheese approx 3 layers, leave edges free. Cut cheese and ham to fit on the pastry.
  4. Fold the the other half of the pastry over the cheese and ham forming 4 square parcels.
  5. Use egg mixture on the edge of the parcels and press the edges together with a fork to seal parcels.
  6. Using pastry brush lightly brush the parcels with the egg mixture.
  7. Place each parcel on a tray lined with baking paper and place in hot oven.
  8. Bake 10 - 15 minutes
  9. Remove when pastry has risen and has browned.
