This recipe is just a basic cup-cake or muffin recipe. It can be adapted to by adding extra ingredients as you desire. I have used vanilla essence and sultanas; I've sprinkled flaked almonds and brown sugar over the top. You can use anything - orange juice, choc-chips, glace cherries or pineapples, dried chopped apricots, rum essence. If you want to ice them, try this recipe.

Simple and easy. We made them into butterfly cakes with buttercream & Jelly tots. I did find i didn't need as much flour as stated and only used 200g - 03 Dec 2010 (Review from Allrecipes UK & Ireland)
