Quick Chocolate and Coconut Slice

This recipe is very quick and easy. My grand daughter loves it and even helps me make it.

Serves: 12 

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup self-raising flour
  • 1/2 cup coconut
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 125g melted butter
  • 1 lightly beaten (59g) egg

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:25min 

  1. Heat oven to 180 degrees C.
  2. Combine the sugar, self-raising flour, coconut and cocoa in a large bowl, Stir in the melted butter and lightly beaten egg.
  3. Spread mixture into a a greased 19cm by 29cm slice pan and bake in a 180 degrees C oven for 15 minutes or until lightly browned around the edges.
  4. Cool, than cut into slices.

I agree with all comments. I was a little worried to start with as I thought It was quite dry and really hard to spread it but end result was yummy and turned out great! Its a hit. Really easy to make with simple ingrediants as well which is great! - 21 Jun 2010
