Peeling and Chopping Garlic

Garlic is the basis of so many dishes, it tastes great and it's good for you. So here's the quickest and most efficient way to get it out of its skin and into the pan.

Separate a bulb into individual cloves. Cut the top and tail off each bulb. Place in a small saucepan with lid. Grasp the saucepan firmly ( thumbs on the lid) and shake the living daylights out of it for approx. 10 secs. Make sure the shake is hard enough for the cloves to impact the inside of the saucepan. If some cloves still have skin on them just shake a bit more
