Almond cake cake comes in two main forms, where the flour is substituted for almond meal/flour making it gluten free, or simply a cake that includes or garnishes with almonds. Both are equally tasty and there are many examples of both in this collection.
Although there are quite a few steps to this cake the results are worth it. A whole orange, including the skin, is used in the recipe which produces a rich intense flavour. Almonds replace the flour thus making this a traditional torte style of cake.
