Time to get out the Crock Pot for a great and easy slow cooker dinner. Try these recipes including slow cooker lamb, chicken, beef, curry, roasts or osso bucco.
Ten years ago, while visiting a bakery in the small seaside village of Hastings in S.E. Victoria, I was fortunate to try a Pepper Steak Pie. This pie was a must try to create at home, after experiencing what I had found is a great example of the perfect Pepper Steak Pie. You need to let this steak mix cool for at least three hours before you bake it-overnight is ideal. Try this out :)
Chouriço is simply the Portuguese chorizo. All the better if you can find Portuguese chouriço for this dish, but the more common Spanish chorizo will work just fine. Serve over mash or rice.
Red wine and beef are an eternal combination that always has great success and this casserole recipe is no exception.
My son calls this very-hearty beef and vegetable stew 'world famous!' You will need a large slow cooker.
This our favourite Rogan Josh. Perfect every time!
This chowder is better than any pea and ham soup you could ever make. If the bacon bits you buy are a little chunky, cut them into smaller pieces. If you can't find smoked bacon bits, regular bacon bits are fine, smoked just provide a richer flavour.
Adapted from a microwave recipe. Everyone loves this as the meat is so tender and tasty. I always have to make a triple batch, so there are leftovers. Leftovers freeze well and reheat easily in the microwave.
Mouth-watering, pork cooked in a slow cooker and served with barbecue sauce. An American favourite, serve on floury soft rolls with coleslaw and potato crisps.
Chilli is always a great option for feeding a crowd and the slow cooker makes it super simple. Turkey mince is used as a lighter alternative to the usual beef.
A family favourite. Easy to make in the slow cooker. My toddler loves it too, and its a great way to get kids to eat fruit without them even noticing!
