A comfort food of Scottish origin, this recipe just has a couple of changes from the traditional. The quantities will feed two hungry people or provide three lighter meals.

This is a meal my mother (and everyone elses mother) cooked pretty regularly when we were kids. My kids love it. I did change the ingredients a bit, compared to some recipes. Its like a savoury mince, come curry, come Chinesey looking stew type thing lol. Really yummy tho. The good thing about this recipe is the longer it sits, the better it tastes. Recipe in footnotes for leftovers.

Beef and potatoes, or mince and tatties as they say in Scotland, is a great cold weather dish. Serve with bread to soak up the delicious gravy.

This is the most simple mince dish I know but it remains a family favourite. Serve with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables.

This is a wonderful hot lunch somewhat similar to the American dish called 'sloppy joes' or an Australian savoury mince roll. Easy and good!

The traditional cottage pie with a twist. Looking for "soft food" recipes for cancer patients, I wanted to provide interesting and tasty food as well as make sure it as soft and easy to swallow.
