Berry Salad with Passionfruit
Recipe by:
Elaine Russell
Berries are the utterly fresh flavour of summer. Tart, sweet and juicy, they come in a wide array of types, ranging from bright and delicate raspberries to fleshy strawberries, plump little blueberries and rich blackberries. The passionfruit adds a fragrant tart edge to this salad.
Kay's Traditional Pink Ambrosia
Forever argued over as to whether it is actually a dessert or a salad, this recipe has been handed down through the women in my family. An absolute must have on the xmas table. I eat it with the fresh ham, but is just as good after as dessert! Don't let the description put you off, the taste if unbelievable!
Orietta's Chocolate Cake
If you don't take kindly to recipes that instruct you to "cream the butter and sugar" then this one's for you! Prepare this cake batter on the stovetop...it's my Aunty Orietta's classic chocolate cake recipe. Delicious!

Topdeck slice
A simple delicious slice to serve as dessert or to have with a cup of very nice coffee. Very easy to make, with not too many ingredients. It improves with age so is better made a day or so before you eat. For a very rich, muddy slice, reduce cooking time by 8-10 minutes
Truffles
An easy kid-friendly treat for lunch boxes or a sweet afternoon snack. Made with coconut and cocoa this no bake recipe is a must. Try and keep the kids from licking their fingers when they make these. This was my mothers recipe.
Tangy Tomato Relish
This was given to me by a friend about 25 years ago. I have been making it ever since for family and friends. It is delicious with all sorts of foods, from cold meats to barbecues. It is best made with ripe outdoor tomatoes as they have more flavour and colour. Always bottle in clean sterilised jars with non-metallic lids.
Lindsays Bombay Potatoes
I used to make this back in the UK, where I would buy a 'packet' spice mix especially for the Bombay potatoes. Since arriving in Australia there is nothing similar so I decided to make my own recipe which is much tastier! This can be eaten as a side dish to a curry, served with chicken and greens or on its own with a tasty naan bread - all equally as delicious.
Baked Orange Ricotta Cheesecake
This cheesecake is straightforward to cook and has a distinguishing taste and texture compared to the cheese cakes made with cream cheese.
