Chocolate Puff

    I was new to those recipes where you separate the eggs. This recipe is the second I have which bakes firm on top but saucy underneath. Please cook and find out yourself.

    Serves: 4 

    • 1 tablespoon of butter
    • 1/2 cup of sugar
    • 2 eggs, separated
    • 1 tablespoon of flour
    • 1 tablespoon of cocoa
    • 1 cup of milk
    • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:30min  ›  Ready in:40min 

    1. Cream butter and sugar; add egg yolks and beat well. Add flour sifted with cocoa, then add milk and vanilla, mixing slowly at first. Lastly fold in the stiffly-beaten egg whites.
    2. Pour into a fire-proof dish and stand in a baking dish of hot water. Bake in a moderate oven till top is firm to the touch. The bottom will have the texture of a creamy sauce.
