Mike's Rich Sausage Casserole

Its cold outside. Warm yourself up with this rich hearty casserole. The red wine is optional, but you'd be daft to take it out!

I have made this a couple of times and it has always turned out well. A really tasty wholesome recipe. A great way to cook sausage.

This was so tasty. I had a tray of sausages in the freezer leftover from a BBQ that I didn't know what to do with. Served with pasta for a hearty, warming winter dinner.

Love it! Great family meal. Have made this twice now and it is a repeater. I find it great with PORK sausages and serve mixed into a saucepan of spiral pasta. My only changes are - I boil my sausages instead of frying as I like to remove the skins. Then I slice into bite sized pieces. - I've never had any red wine on hand so have omitted that but it still tastes fab to us! The Cannellini Beans are a great addition but I've also used red kidney beans and they were fine too.

Loved it. Easy to throw together, great flavours, and very family friendly, 5 year old has requested a repeat!
