Having 4 children and all their friends I had to feed the neighbourhood and this met the need. Use any of the extra fillings I've suggested - choc chips,coconut, nuts, sultanas. These also make great jam drops.

Serves: 25 

  • 500gms margarine
  • 1 cup (220g) sugar
  • 1 tin condensed milk (440gm)
  • 5 cups (625g) SR flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:25min 

  1. Heat oven to 180 degrees C. Cream margarine, sugar and condensed milk. Add the vanilla, then fold in flour
  2. At this stage divide into bowls and add whatever extras you want - choc chips,coconut, nuts, sultanas. Use teaspoon full of mixture and roll into balls.
  3. Roll them in hundreds and thousands or cornflakes, coconut, nuts - the variations are endless.
  4. Cook in preheated oven for 12-15 minutes.

OMG - these are sooo very sinfull , i managed to get 50 cookies out of batch and the dough is just a yummy as the cookies, HUGE hit with the hubby and kids, just had to hide uncooked dough from them so i could finish baking - 20 Jul 2011
