A lovely colourful side dish that is simple to make. Instead of using tinned you can buy fresh beetroot and green beans and boil or steam until tender.
For more flavour, I added some lime juice, ground cardamon seeds, dill, tiny bit of sugar, and I used sesame oil rather than olive oil. Worked out really nicely. - 04 May 2012
Unique, and a good way to use up the can of beetroot you bought on a whim. Although it was good, I agree with the other reviewer that something seemed missing. Green bean salads often have diced onion and a bit of sugar--maybe that's it? (I'd test the theory but my husband liked it fine as is, so it's almost gone.) - 29 Sep 2008
