Pete's Tahini Treats

    A vegetarian friend of my Dad's, Peter, has this in his recipe book. Quick and simple, he feeds his kids these cookies a lot.

    Serves: 10 

    • 6 tbsp tahini
    • 1/4 tsp sea salt
    • 3/4 cup (250g) honey
    • 1/2 cup (90g) sunflower seed kernels
    • 1 1/2 cups (125g) rolled oats

    Preparation:2min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Extra time:5min  ›  Ready in:22min 

    1. Pre-heat oven to 160C
    2. Stir tahini, salt and honey together until well blended
    3. Stir in seeds and oats. Drop by teaspoons onto paper-lined baking tray
    4. Bake in a slow oven for 15-20 minutes or until browned. Turn onto wire rack and cool. Store in an air-tight container.
