Dad's delicious sweet sun-tea

    2 hours

My dad has been making this quite often now and it tastes amazing! The Australian sun warms it up fast, a lot quicker than other cloudy places. You may also use a peppermint tea bag in place of one of the regular ones. Note: you can also use 1½ cups of sugar, if you prefer very sweet tea.

    1 person made this

    Serves: 8

    • 1 large jug (we use approx 3 litres)
    • Water to fill
    • 5 tea bags (preferably quality black tea)
    • 1 cup (220g) sugar
    • a sunny day :D

    Preparation:2hours  ›  Ready in:2hours

    1. Fill the large jug with cool water. Place the five tea bags in the pitcher, and let them sit in the water.
    2. Put the lid on and put the pitcher outside, for about 1 hour. Bring back in, and stir in 1 cup of sugar
    3. Refrigerate until cold.
    4. Enjoy!!
