I made this with my kids one day thinking of things that we could take to a party and this was a hit. Experiment with other rainbow-coloured fruits and quantities.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 8

    • 1/2 large watermelon
    • 1 rockmelon
    • 400g pineapple pieces, fresh or tinned
    • 1 punnet blueberries, rinsed and drained
    • 250g green seedless grapes
    • 250g red seedless grapes

    Directions
    Preparation:20min  ›  Ready in:20min

    1. Use a melon baller to hollow out watermelon and rockmelon into a large bowl, or cut into pieces.
    2. Add pineapple, blueberries, plums, green and purple grapes to the bowl with the melons. Gently mix all fruit together and serve.

This recipe was not that great. The blueberries and plum did not blend well with the melons and pineapple. It may have made a pretty salad, but the flavor left a lot to be desired.  -  27 Aug 2002  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)

I made this for a church cookout and it was very well received!! Only added a couple tablespoons of sugar to juice it up a bit.  -  09 Aug 2004  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)

I made this recipe this weekend for a cookout and it was fantastic, despite a lot of the fruit not being perfectly ripe since it is early in the season. I added strawberries to the recipe as well, since they are my favorite. I will definitely be making this regularly.  -  08 May 2006  (Review from Allrecipes USA and Canada)
