Marinated Chicken Wings and Drumettes

    Easy to make and delicious to eat. We had these at my son's birthday and everyone loved them!

    Serves: 6 

    • 1 1/2 kg chicken drumettes/wingettes or wings (broken into 3 pieces at the joints - throw away the tips)
    • 1 cup (250ml) tomato sauce
    • 1/2 cup (125ml) plum sauce
    • 1/4 cup (65ml) Worcestershire sauce
    • 1/4 cup (45g) firmly packed brown sugar
    • 2 cloves garlic crushed

    Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Extra time:3hours marinating  ›  Ready in:3hours35min 

    1. Mix ingredients, add chicken. Cover and put in the fridge for 3 hours or overnight.
    2. Drain chicken and discard marinade.
    3. BBQ on a low heat around 20 minutes until cooked.

    I substituted the plum sauce for my sons favourite bottled bbq sauce. We loved them warm or cold. I found it much more economical to marinate my own compared to buying marinated ones from supermarket.  -  18 Nov 2012
