    We've been making these cookies in my family ever since I was little kid. They're everything a cookie should be, and always get eaten immediately. Try not to bake for longer than 15 minutes, the cookies may appear underdone and squishy when you get them out of the oven, but they will harden up as the cool.

    Serves: 6 

    • ½ cup (125g) caster sugar
    • ½ cup (90g) brown sugar
    • 175g butter
    • ½ teaspoon vanilla
    • 1 egg
    • ¾ cup (90g) plain flour
    • 1 cup (125g) self raising flour
    • ½ cup each dark, milk and white choc bits

    Preparation:30min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:45min 

    1. Place sugars and butter together and cream in a large mixing bowl.
    2. Add vanilla and egg. Combine well together.
    3. Add flours to creamed mix. Mix in well using a wooden spoon.
    4. Stir in choc bits.
    5. Roll teaspoonfuls of mixture into balls, place on lightly greased oven trays.
    6. Bake at 180oC for 12-15 minutes.
    7. Cool on tray for 5 minutes before removing to wire tray.
    8. Store in air tight container.

    Have just cooked a batch of these biscuits. They seem ok and taste nice, but very very greasy. I wonder if there is a bit too much butter in the recipe? - 20 Dec 2015
