We often eat these hot on a sunday morning with jam or you can keep the savoury and eat with vegemite or cheese or both!

Serves: 6 

  • 2 cups (250g) flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 6 tablespoons (120g) butter
  • 1 cup (125g) grated tasty cheese
  • 1 cup (125ml) milk
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1 pkt Maggi bacon and onion soup

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees fan bake and lightly grease a muffin tin.
  2. Sift flour and baking powder. Add soup mix, cheese, sugar and mix well.
  3. Melt butter and combine with beaten egg and milk.
  4. Make a well in the dry engredients and pour in the liquid.
  5. Mix until the mixture is moist.
  6. Fill greased muffin tins and bake for 15-20 mins.
