    These are very sweet biscuits as they use honey, golden syrup and sugar. Your teenagers are sure to appreciate them!

    Serves: 12 

    • 100g butter
    • 1/4 cup honey
    • 3 tablespoons golden syrup
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1 cup (125g) plain flour
    • 1/4 cup (60g) sugar

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
    2. Place the butter, honey and golden syrup in a saucepan over low heat and stir until the ingredients have melted together. Add the baking soda and remove from heat.
    3. Mix the flour and sugar together in a bowl, add the butter mixture and mix to combine. Roll into 2 cm balls and place on a lined baking tray leaving 4 cms between each ball.
    4. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden. Let cool on the baking tray for a few minutes before cooling on a wire rack.

    I added an extra cup of flour- I use gluten free flour and it worked fine. Instead of rolling I put drops onto the tray. - 02 Feb 2013


    More like a cake mixture than biscuit, couldn't be rolled into balls. All instructions were followed & checked by assistant. - 03 May 2009
