Orange and Ginger Smoothie

    A wonderful vegan smoothie. Use grated fresh ginger if you want more zing. Start out with a 1/2 teaspoon, and add more to taste.

    Serves: 2 

    • 1 banana, peeled
    • 1 large orange, peeled and seeded
    • 2 cups (500ml) vanilla flavoured soy milk
    • 1 teaspoon ground ginger

    Preparation:5min  ›  Ready in:5min 

    1. Place banana, orange, soy milk and ginger in an electric blender. Process until ingredients are blended and smooth.

    Used different ingredients. This was okay. I used orange juice because the orange made it way too pulpy and thick. The ginger makes it interesting. I think I'll stick to fruit and juice smoothies.  -  08 Oct 2008
