A very easy to prepare slow cooker recipe that my kids have affectionately named "orange" because of the colour, not the flavour! Serve the chicken on a bed of mashed potato with the sauce poured over the top and accompanied by your favourite veggies. It is delicious.
8 chicken legs, skinless
2 teaspoons mustard powder
4 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons vinegar
1 cup (250ml) tomato sauce
1 cup (250ml) water
2 chicken stock cubes

Mix together all the sauce ingredients with a whisk. Place the chicken legs in the slow cooker and pour over the sauce. Cook on the Low setting for 5 hours. At the end pour the sauce into a saucepan and simmer for 5-7 minutes to reduce a little.
Varied the ingredients - added 1/3 cup sliced celery; 2/3 cup sliced fennel; 1 diced onion; 1 tsp garlic granules; also 150g french beans. Altered liquids to reduce tomato acidity - used 2/3 cup each tomato sauce; white wine & liquid chicken stock. A winner!!!! - 05 Dec 2012
