Instant Noodle Ommlette

    This is an easy dish that spices up the cheap and usually tasteless instant noodles and makes it into more of a meal.

    Serves: 1 

    • 1 packet instant noodles
    • 2 tablespoons of oil
    • 1 egg
    • 1/2 cup frozen vegetables (anything in a small dice form)
    • oyster or chilli Sauce, optional

    Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:15min 

    1. Cook the instant noodles according to packet instructions.
    2. When adding the noodle flavouring packet also add the frozen vegetables.
    3. Drain the noodles and reserve the liquid as soup if desired.
    4. Heat oil in a frying pan and drop in the cooked noodles then spread out evenly.
    5. Whisk the egg and pour evenly on top of the noodles and continue frying without disturbing it for a minute or two.
    6. Flip the noodle and egg mixture and cook until the the egg is completely set.
    7. Serve with some oyster or chilli sauce or just by itself.

    I only printed this out today and I have just finished it. I added 2 eggs as I had spread it out in the frypan and one egg just didn't seem enough. The only trouble I had, was trying to turn it over without totally destroying it. Eureka, I did manage it though!!  -  01 Jun 2013
