Oven Baked Hazelnut Crusted Fish

    Oven baked fish with the sweet aroma of hazelnuts gently infusing with the fillets. Never say "fish is boring" again.

    Serves: 4 

    • 4 x 200g firm white fish fillet e.g. snapper
    • 200g ground hazelnut
    • 100g breadcrumbs
    • 1/2 cup (125ml) olive oil
    • 2 clove garlic, finely diced
    • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, optional
    • salt and pepper, to taste

    1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C. Oven rack at the highest position.
    2. Mix the hazelnut, breadcrumbs, garlic, oil, cayenne, salt and pepper in a bowl. It should be thick like a biscuit dough consistency.
    3. Season the fish fillets. Add 2 tablespoon of the mixture on top of each fillet.
    4. Line an oven tray with baking paper for the fish, bake the fish for 20-30 minutes or until the crust is golden. Serve with salad and chips.
