Thai Pork Cakes

    This is a version of Thai fish cakes that I made one day when I had no fish. Add more or less chilli depending on your tastes. Serve with a cucumber, tomato and vinegar salad and jasmine rice.

    Serves: 4 

    • 600g pork mince
    • 1 cup spring onion, sliced thinly
    • 1/2 onion, sliced thinly
    • 1 teaspoon crushed garlic
    • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
    • 3 tablespoons Thai chilli sauce
    • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
    • 1 egg
    • 1 cup (125g) flour
    • 1 tablespoon oil

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:30min 

    1. Mix all ingredients together until mixture is thick (add more flour if needed).
    2. Roll into 8 cakes, cover in flour and fry in frypan.
    3. Cook 5 minutes each side or until meat is cooked. Serve.

    This was very tasty, could of done with a little salt and I would add some finely chopped chilli. Quick and easy and a hit with everyone.  -  02 Aug 2013
