    This is a very simple but tasty way to cook asparagus that creates a rich creamy asparagus with a crisp cheese top.

    Serves: 4 

    • 500g fresh asparagus spears
    • 2 teaspoons butter
    • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
    • 1/4 cup (125ml) cream
    • pepper and salt, to taste

    1. Trim and wash your asparagus.
    2. Lightly blanch or steam the asparagus.
    3. Place spears in buttered baking dish and dot with the butter.
    4. Sprinkle the parmesan cheese, salt and pepper.
    5. Finally add the cream.
    6. Bake at 220 degrees C for about 10 minutes or until is brown on top.
