This is an easy way to cook the best green beans you will have ever had. A perfect side to any meat main.


Serves: 4 

  • 250g baby green beans, fresh or frozen
  • 1/2 jalepino chilli
  • 1/2 small onion, sliced
  • 1 chicken stock cube
  • 100ml water
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:15min 

  1. Add all ingredients to a saucepan.
  2. Bring to the boil with lid on. Leave lid on for first couple of minutes.
  3. Remove lid and allow water to reduce leaving melted butter.
  4. Reduce heat and allow beans to gently saute just enough to complete cooking and to coat beans.
