Honey Soy Chicken Wings

    A marvellous economical dish that can be doubled for a crowd. Good party finger food and makes a great dinner served with rice.

    Serves: 4 

    • 1kg ckicken wings
    • 2 tablespoons honey
    • 2 tablespoons oil
    • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
    • 2 tablespoons sherry
    • 1 cup sliced spring onions
    • 2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
    • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger

    1. Heat a wok well then add the oil and chicken wings in several batches. Brown them lightly removing them as they are browned.
    2. Turn up the heat to high and return the chicken wings back into the wok and the remaining ingredients.
    3. Turn frequently until the chicken is a rich brown and glossy; about 15 to 20 minutes.
    4. Add the spring onions and serve.
