These are just so chewy and delicious; not like the store bought jaw breakers. My sons love these, very moist, very morish and low in fat.
Do not add chocolate chips to this recipe as they make the mix too wet and it won't set. Instead melt chocolate and drizzle decoratively over the slab before slicing.
Yum, I made these museli bars this morning and the kids, hubby and I LOVE them. They are so moist and chewy, I cannot see us buying the store ones ever again - 11 Feb 2012
I'd been trying to find an easy (and healthy muesli bar recipe for my toddler, as store bought ones are so expensive - this one ticked all the boxes. Great as a base recipe, you can add different types of fruit (we used apricots and sultanas) to suit your taste. The only change I made was to halve the brown sugar as it was very sweet - this didn't seem to affect the taste though, even my husband loved them....and he doesn't eat anything healthy! - 12 Jun 2012
so easy and yummy. Very sweet but I like that. I didn't add coconut because I don't like it. Used a fruit medley which was great. Put it in the fridge to set a little after cooking as it was falling apart. - 27 Aug 2012
