Easiest Mushroom Sauce Ever
An excellent sauce for steaks that is fast, easy and extremely tasty. It only takes a few minutes to make so prepare it at the last minute and use straightaway.
Ingredients
Serves: 10
- 20g butter
- 200g button mushrooms, sliced
- 300ml cream
- 1 beef stock cube

Ready in:10min
- In a small saucepan melt butter and fry mushrooms on a medium heat for 4-5 minutes.
- Turn the heat to low then add the cream and the stock cube; heat through.
- Be careful not to overcook as this may cause the cream to split and appear oily. Serve immediately.

Well I thought this was lovely. I didn't weigh the mushrooms so just added the cream gradually, probably used about 200ml for the amount of mushrooms I had. Served over loin lamb chops and it was delicious. - 03 Dec 2012
Something else. Cooked it longer to reduce the cream to more usual sauce consistency. - 27 Nov 2010
