Vienna Short Cakes

    Yummy melt in the mouth treats if you like shortbread you will love these. They are so fuss free and easy to make.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 8 

    • 6 tablespoons flour
    • 6 tablespoons cornflour
    • 250g butter
    • 4 tablespoon icing sugar, sifted
    • few drops almond or vanilla essence

    Directions
    Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:30min 

    1. Mix all the ingredients together with wooden spoon.
    2. Place patty cups in a cupcake tray then add spoonfuls of mixture about 2/3 full.
    3. Bake at 200 degrees C for about 10 minutes until light brown. Take out of the oven but leave in tray; do not touch until cold.
    4. Serve with a drop of jam and sprinkle with icing sugar.
