Creamy Lemon Chicken with Bow Ties

    If you enjoy the flavour of lemon mixed with chicken and pasta you'll enjoy this creamy dish, plus it is quick and cheap.

    Serves: 4 

    • 1 tablespoon cornflour
    • 1 teaspoon chicken stock powder
    • 3/4 cup (185ml) water
    • 1/2 cup (125ml) thickened cream
    • 1/4 teaspoon lemon zest
    • 1/4 cup (60ml) lemon juice
    • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
    • 1 tablespoon teriyaki sauce
    • 500g bow tie pasta
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • 500g chicken breasts, diced
    • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
    • 1 tablespoon fresh sage, diced
    • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, diced

    1. In a medium bowl blend cornflour, chicken stock powder, water, cream, lemon zest, lemon juice, sugar and teriyaki sauce.
    2. Bring large saucepan of water to boil, add pasta. Keeping uncovered boil until just tender, drain.
    3. In a large saucepan add chicken pieces then cook until tender; remove.
    4. Add cornflour mixture to the same saucepan along with garlic and sage. Stir until mixture thickens.
    5. Add chicken, pasta and parsley to thickened mixture stir until heated through, serve hot.
