    I have given this recipe to many people and they are amazed at the explosion of tastes. Please do not deviate from the ingredients suggested.

    Serves: 6 

    • ¼ white cabbage
    • ¼ purple cabbage
    • 65g butter
    • 1 cup (125g) slivered almonds
    • 1 cup (125g) sunflower kernels
    • 1 packet fried noodles
    • for the dressing
    • ¼ cup caster sugar
    • ¼ cup (65ml) vegetable oil
    • 30ml white vinegar
    • 30ml soy sauce (light)

    Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:20min 

    1. Slice both cabbages finely. Saute the almonds and sunflower kernels in the butter until well browned. Allow to cool.
    2. While the seeds are browning mix together the dressing ingredients. Allow to stand for about 15 min.
    3. Combine all ingredients just before serving and toss together well.
