This is a perfect recipe for leftover chicken, this easy and tasty stew makes a perfect midweek meal for the whole family.

Serves: 4 

  • 30g butter
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 500g sliced mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 250g leftover chicken or a pre-cooked barbeque chicken
  • 1 (400g) tin mushroom soup
  • 1 cup cream, or milk

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:25min 

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan then gently fry the onion until it starts to become transparent then add the mushrooms. Add the mushrooms and cook until they are softened, then add the white wine.
  2. Stir in the chicken, mushroom soup and cream then bring to a boil. Add water to reach desired consitancy then serve.
