Chicken in Sour Cream

    This recipe is so easy and delicious. You just mix all the ingredients together and bake. This recipe calls for thighs but you could also use legs or breasts. It's good served with rice.

    Serves: 4 

    • 1 kg chicken thighs
    • 1 packet (140g) dry french onion soup mix
    • 300ml carton sour cream
    • 1 tin (450g) cream of chicken soup

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:50min  ›  Ready in:1hour 

    1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C. Combine sour cream and both soups in casserole or lasagne dish. Add chicken and mix through. Cover with foil and bake for 40 mins. Remove foil and bake further 10 mins.

    Used different ingredients. Added a few broccoli pieces and saffron rice. Also cooked in the slow cooker which enhanced the flavours heaps. Today I have added 1/2 cup white wine, 1 sauteed onion, 5 large cloves of crushed garlic and 2 tbs of gourmet stock powder. The different flavours are amazing.  -  12 Feb 2010
