The perfect Napoletana sauce for your pasta. It is so quick and easy. I think it is the fresh basil that makes it so great.


Serves: 4 

  • 600g tinned peeled Italian tomatoes
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely sliced
  • 5 basil leaves, diced
  • 100ml olive oil
  • salt, to taste
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • Parmesan, to taste

Preparation:5min  ›  Cook:25min  ›  Ready in:30min 

  1. Heat the olive oil on medium heat then fry the garlic until soft.
  2. Add the tomatoes and onion then cook for about 20 minutes. Stir in basil.
  3. Serve on pasta with Parmesan to garnish.
