Rich Chocolate Tart

    This is a really easy chocolate tart that is ideal for chocolate lovers. I like to slice and serve on a plate with whipped cream and fresh berries.

    Serves: 8 

    • 300g milk chocolate
    • 1 cup (250ml) thickened cream
    • 1/4 cup (60g) caster sugar
    • 1 egg, lightly whisked
    • 1 pie shell
    • cocoa, for dusting

    Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Ready in:30min 

    1. Place chocolate and cream in a heatproof, microwave-safe bowl. Microwave uncovered on high for 3 minutes stirring every minute or until melted and smooth.
    2. Add sugar and egg. Mix well.
    3. Pour chocolate filling into pie shell and bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until set.
    4. Allow to cool then dust with cocoa and serve with whipped cream or by its self.

    I made this in mini tart tins, with a chocolate biscuit crumb base. Very lovely filling, but be warned it is *extremely* rich. Very quick and easy to make!  -  22 Apr 2012
