Sultana and Mint Baked Apples

An old favourite baked apple but with a refreshing hint of mint flavour! Perfect with ice cream or custard, served hot right out of the oven.


Serves: 4 

  • 4 apples
  • 1/2 cup (80g) sultanas
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint
  • 4 teaspoons (20g) butter

Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:50min  ›  Ready in:1hour5min 

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees C.
  2. Core apples and peel off a 2cm strip around the hole on the top of each apple. Place apples in a shallow baking dish.
  3. Combine sultanas, brown sugar and mint. Fill apples with the mixture. Top the filling in each apple with 1 teaspoon butter.
  4. Bake in preheated oven for 50 minutes, or until apples are tender.
