Grilled green chillies with bacon and cheddar

For those who like it spicy, this is a quick and easy recipe for finger food or an entree. Only three ingredients required: bacon, cheese and chillies.


Serves: 12 

  • 225g cheddar cheese
  • 6 fresh green chillies, (jalapeno preferably) seeded and halved
  • 10 to 12 bacon rashers

Preparation:10min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:20min 

  1. Preheat the grill.
  2. Cut cheese into 12 slices to fit inside the chilli halves. Insert cheese slices into the halves. Wrap the bacon slices around the chilli halves, securing with a toothpick if necessary. Place on a medium baking tray.
  3. Grill for 5 to 10 minutes, or until the bacon is evenly brown.
