Sweet Potato Oven Chips

For tasty chips, try using sweet potato instead of potato. They taste delicious and have a lower GI than potatoes. They're so tasty you might even prefer them to French fries. Experiment with different spices and herbs, such as rosemary, thyme or cumin, instead of the paprika.

  1. Preheat the oven to 230°C. Coat a baking tray that has a rim or a large roasting pan with cooking spray, or line with baking paper.
  2. Cut the sweet potatoes in half crosswise, then lengthways into 1-cm-wide wedges. Place on the baking tray. Toss with the oil, paprika and pepper.
  3. Bake the sweet potatoes, turning the wedges over several times, until golden brown and tender, 20 to 25 minutes.
