    If you've been boiling asparagus you'll be amazed how much better it is when it is quickly seared on the barbie instead.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • 500g fresh asparagus spears, trimmed
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

    Directions
    Preparation:15min  ›  Cook:3min  ›  Ready in:18min 

    1. Preheat barbecue for high heat.
    2. Lightly coat the asparagus spears with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
    3. Cook over high heat for 2 to 3 minutes, or to desired tenderness.
