    Try this versatile icing on the Fruit Cake recipe on this website for Christmas or on your child's next birthday cake.

    Serves: 12 

    • 3 cups icing sugar, sifted
    • 4 egg whites
    • 1 tablespoon glycerine
    • 2 teaspoons lemon juice

    1. Put the sifted icing sugar and the egg whites into a large mixing bowl and beat together until they are smooth, white and fluffy. Beat the glycerine and lemon juice into the egg white mixture.
